Since then, my daffodils and other bulbs are seriously confused! They have already sprung through the soil and in some places been blooming. While I won't complain because they are my favorite flower, I am upset because the next blast of cold air may just wilt and kill them. It's like getting a Christmas present on Thanksgiving, and then having nothing to open on the big day. I suppose I should just enjoy them now.
On another outside note, this past weekend while I was at Lowe's I picked up a new lawn ornament. Originally, I made the journey to Lowe's in search of succulents for a terrarium that I am planning but I came up short in that department. But I did score this guy:
It's a small white owl and can be found online here. It was marked as a "key fob" and it has a small compartment underneath for the storage of an emergency key. While I won't be storing a key there, it is a cute addition to the front yard. Not to mention, a score at only eight bucks! While in the aisle, I saw lots of interesting lawn decorations including this larger owl and these owl solar lights. It's no secret I love garden/lawn decorations, from my pink flamingos, horseshoes, homemade garden markers, and miniature garden gnomes; so I may just have to revisit the lawn ornament aisle when its really spring!
